Making Clay

This past week I decided to make some clay (Which I just realized I left uncovered all weekend and I am hoping that it did not dry out.) from a recipe I found on the glazy website. I had only made clay once before. This clay is a cone 6, warm brown clay, that is made for throwing. I made one thing with it, a little mug, and I am thinking about putting an interesting handle on it. Our current project in my ceramics class is about handles, and I want to take this as an opportunity to create something out of my comfort zone. A handle can say a lot about the quality of the mug, and I want to create things that are comfortable for the one using it along with creating something that is interesting to look at.

My best friend helped me make this clay, and it frustrated her a whole lot. Hopefully it is a successful batch! I will definitely post something when the clay has been fired; there was no picture on glazy and no one had given any feedback on the recipe.
